Government building in Rochester evacuated
Employees of the city-county Government Center in downtown Rochester were evacuated for about 90 minutes Wednesday while officers checked out a bomb threat.
Sgt. Jon Turk is Rochester's emergency management coordinator. He says the threat was phoned in to the county administrator's office and courts shortly before 2 p.m.
About 200 people were evacuated from the building. Olmsted County Sheriff Steve VonWald says the search of the building didn't find anything and the staff were allowed back in at about 3:30 p.m.
