A Minneapolis kindergartner is in critical condition after being run over by a school bus this morning in Minneapolis.
The boy, a kindergartner at Windom School, apparently got on the wrong bus with his mother in South Minneapolis early this morning. The two of them got off the bus, and the boy reportedly slipped on some ice and fell under the moving bus.
Gabriel Greiling was rushed to Hennepin County Medical Center for surgery. He is listed in critical condition, according to a hospital spokeswoman. He reportedly suffered a broken pelvis and a broken leg when the bus ran him over.
Police said the driver apparently didn't know the boy had slipped on the ice and had slid under the vehicle, and the incident appeared to be an unavoidable accident.
No charges are expected as a result of the boy's injury.
