Authorities in Cannon Falls have arrested a 23-year-old man in connection with an armed robbery that took place in that city Tuesday afternoon.
Police believe the Inver Grove Heights man used a knife to rob the White Rock Bank at 31377 County Road 24 Blvd., in Cannon Falls.
Shortly after the incident, police used the bank's surveillance video to identify the suspect at a nearby traffic stop. The Cannon Falls Police Department, the Goodhue County Sheriff's Office, Inver Grove Heights Police Department and the FBI assisted in the investigation.
The suspect was arrested after officials searched his house and located the weapon allegedly used in the robbery. Officials said they also found an undisclosed amount money that belonged to the bank inside Anson's house.
Police said the man later admitted to robbing the bank.
He is currently being held in the Goodhue County Adult Detention Center, pending formal charges, officials said.
