President Obama's desire to get health care reform thru congress by the August recess was squashed today by the top Democrat in the Senate. Majority Leader Harry Reid said the full Senate won't take up the issue until after the five-week recess is over in September.

The news is no surprise, but it is symbolic of the deep rifts over health care between Democrats and Republicans -- and within the Democratic Party.

Minnesota DFL congressman Tim Walz has been pushing for more time to reach compromises on health care reform on his side of Capitol Hill. He joined Tom Crann from Washington to talk about what needs to change in order to get his support.
