A man who crashed his car along Interstate 35W in Minneapolis early Thursday morning got out of his car and was hit by an oncoming car, according to the State Patrol.
The accident happened shortly before 1 a.m. when the driver of a 1994 Probe struck some signs and a light pole near the 35th Street exit, officials said.
The driver re-entered the highway in his car and came to a stop on the left shoulder after hitting a construction barrel, the patrol said.
The driver left the car and started walking along the southbound traffic lanes when he was hit and killed by an unknown blue vehicle, officials said.
The State Patrol responded to the scene.
No other information was immediately available.
