Osmo Vanska is going ot be on the podium of the Minnesota Orchestra until 2015.

He signed a new contract Thursday that will keep him as music director of the orchestra for four more seasons after his current deal expires. He began the position back in 2003.

Since that time, the Finnish conductor and the Minnesota Orchestra have recorded the Beethoven symphonies to high acclaim, and completed three European tours, in addition to their regular concerts in Orchestra Hall.

That's where Minnesota Orchestra music director Osmo Vanska was when he talked to Tom Crann about his renewed contract with the Minnesota Orchestra.
