Walz to hold town hall on Afghanistan
DFL Rep. Tim Walz has scheduled a town hall meeting on the war in Afghanistan. The meeting is scheduled for this Friday. Here are the details from Walz' office.
CONGRESSMAN WALZ TO HOLD TOWN HALL MEETING ON AFGHANISTAN WAR
Winona, MN - Today, Congressman Tim Walz announced he will be hosting a town hall meeting on Afghanistan in Winona. Congressman Walz is continuing his tradition of holding town hall meetings to hear from constituents on important issues. The general public, as well as members of the media, are invited to the event.
"Afghanistan is one of the most important issues that we face today. The lives of our sons and daughters, our husbands and wives, our friends and neighbors are on the line and we owe our brave men and women in uniform a fully engaged public debate on the future of our strategy there," said Congressman Walz. "I have heard from a number of southern Minnesotans on this critical issue and I look forward to hearing more from them next Friday."
