The MNGOP released this statement from Chair Tony Sutton before Rybak's speech:
"R.T. Rybak puts the 'R.T.' in raise taxes. Whether he's backing tax increases on property, gasoline or sales, Rybak is an extreme liberal who will go over like a lead balloon in Greater Minnesota. As the most far-left candidate in the Democrat field, Rybak has supported confiscating guns, backed Ralph Nader for president and defended wasting $500,000 in tax dollars on ten decorative water fountains. In addition, Rybak's deliberate attempt to circumvent Minnesota's campaign finance laws demonstrates he does not have the judgment to lead our great state."
Thanks to MPR's Jess Mador for providing me with the audio.
