General Mills and the Mayo Clinic have moved up the rankings in Fortune magazine's annual list of the 100 best companies to work for.
The two companies are the only Minnesota employers to make the list. The house that Betty Crocker helped to build stepped up from 99th last year to 90th in this year's rankings.
Fortune cited family-friendly benefits, such as an infant care center at the Golden Valley headquarters, which comes with a 25 percent subsidy. The Mayo clinic was upgraded from 63rd to 55th in the rankings.
Fortune says a common view at the health care facility is that people genuinely care about their patients and each other.
