Authorities in Rice County will resume the search today for a Faribault woman who disappeared into the Cannon River after a car accident.
Brittney Landsverk, 20, was one of four people in a car that fell into the river early Friday. Mitchell Bongers, 21, was driving the vehicle when it tipped over a riverbank and fell into the water below.
Bongers was badly injured, although two other passengers escaped serious harm. They helped get Landsverk out of the river, but she later slipped back into the water and disappeared.
Authorities have been searching the river for her ever since, using divers and dogs at one point.
The Sheriff's office said searchers would resume the effort to find her this morning.
