Police and family members say a shooting victim was trying to intervene in a dispute between a friend and the gunman when he was killed at a Rosemount car wash.
The parents of 22-year-old Anthony Hartman say he was sticking up for his good friend when he was fatally shot at the Car Spa car wash Monday night. Rosemount police are still looking for the gunman.
Police Chief Gary Kalstabakken tells the Pioneer Press it's not clear what started the argument between the victim's friend and the gunman.
Kalstabakken says the suspect was parked in a car wash bay and shot Hartman several times with a handgun near the vending machine area. Hartman died at the scene.
