Republican Tom Emmer faced a vocal audience during a town hall forum that focused on employee wages and the treatment of servers. The event ended with a bag of coins on the ground over immigration. Emmer got an earful from servers who are unhappy with his recent statements. He also got a surprise when a person opposed to his stance on immigration dumped $20 in pennies on his table.

It's still unclear what Emmer meant when he initially said a tip credit had to be considered. He did tell MPR earlier this week that he would sign a bill that cut the minimum wage.
Corporate and union cash are already flooding the market, according to the latest campaign finance reports. 3 funds raised $2.4 million to date.

Pawlenty for Prez Watch
Gov. Pawlenty and other GOP governors speak today at the Aspen Institute today in Colorado.
His PAC is also required to file their quarterly finance report by midnight. His spokesman says he raised $723k in the 2nd Quarter for a total of $2.6 million since October.
Mitt Romney's PAC raised $3.5 million for the cycle.
Newt Gingrich raised $3.4 million in the 2nd Quarter for his political fund (note: there are different rules between Pawlenty and Romney's PAC and Gingrich's 527 so it's an apples to oranges comparison).
