Itasca sheriff finds body of missing kayaker
Authorities have recovered the body of a missing kayaker from a lake near Grand Rapids.
The Itasca County Sheriff's Office identifies him as Benjamin Francis Fouquette, 22, of Buffalo. He went missing Friday afternoon on Deer Lake north of Grand Rapids after his kayak overturned and he fell out.
Rescuers used sonar to find the body Saturday night in about 60 feet of water 1,500 feet from shore.
An autopsy will be performed.
