Charges filed in Minn. crash that killed 3

A 17-year-old boy has been charged in a crash that killed three other young people and injured a fourth in southeastern Minnesota.

Winona County Attorney Tom Frost said Monday the boy was racing with the driver of the other vehicle, who was killed in the crash last April.

Sheriff's officials say Shauna Marie Ruhoff, 16, lost control of the pickup she was driving, hit the boy's truck and rolled into a ditch near Altura.

Katie Lee Hornberg, 14, and Morgan Elizabeth Zeller, 13, were also killed. Cydney Maker, 12, suffered serious injuries.

Frost says the boy is charged with three counts of criminal vehicular homicide and one count of criminal vehicular operation resulting in great bodily harm. He's filed a petition to have the boy moved to adult court.
