Police chief Scott Knight on Minn. gun control laws

Gun control advocates say that gun laws in Arizona are among the most permissive in the country.

But the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence also says Minnesota has relatively weak gun control laws. For example, Minnesota doesn't require background checks at gun shows, although gun shops do them.

To talk about Minnesota's gun control laws, All Things Considered host Tom Crann talked to Scott Knight. He's chair of the International Association of Chiefs of Police Firearms Committee and police chief in Chaska.
