One of the Grammy awards given out last night went to four musicians who now call the Twin Cities home.

You may remember that this time last year, the Parker String Quartet were artists-in-residence for Minnesota Public Radio, and they spent a lot of time touring and playing in our region.

Their recording of the String Quartets of the Transylvanian composer Gyorgy Ligeti won for best chamber music recording of the year.

Karen Kim is one of the violinists in the Parker String Quartet, and she joined All Things Considered host Tom Crann on the phone from Los Angeles.
