Fighting in Ivory Coast has already forced nearly one hundred thousand people to flee into neighboring Liberia. The refugee situation there is dire, with food and shelter in scarce supply. The Minneapolis-based American Refugee Committee (ARC) is in Liberia working with the refugees.
Carrie Hasselbeck is a director with the ARC in Liberia. MPR's Phil Picardi spoke with her about the refugee crisis, and what the ARC is doing to help.
