Shipment of Boston Scientific medical devices stolen

Boston Scientific Corporation says a shipment of medical devices was stolen on its way to a sterilization facility in Coventry, Rhode Island, last month.

The devices are used for endoscopy, urology, and women's health, and the non-sterile devices can cause infections. Boston Scientific is asking health care professionals to keep an eye out for the batch of devices and report any suspicious transactions.

Company officials said the devices incident happened between April 8 and April 11.

Boston Scientific said in a statement that it's "fully cooperating with law enforcement and public health authorities and will not comment further due to the ongoing nature of the investigation."
