It's been a big week for the Minnesota Timberwolves of the NBA.

The team finally introduced the player it picked with its fifth pick in the 2009 draft. Point guard Ricky Rubio opted to play in his native Spain for two years while Wolves' fans endured two more dismal seasons. Rubio is set to join the Minnesota squad this fall.

And Thursday, the Wolves pick second in the NBA draft. But that's just part of the story.

Britt Robson, who writes about the NBA for Sports Illustrated.com, joined All Things Considered by phone to talk about what else is happening with the team.
