Fire takes out needed grocery, pharmacy in Babbitt

A fire in the Northeastern Minnesota town of Babbitt over the weekend has left the community with no grocery store and pharmacy.

Zup's and Babbit Drug burned to the grown on Saturday. On Monday evening, nearly 400 people attended a meeting to discuss how to replace the institution, and to get food and prescriptions filled in the meantime.

Babbitt Mayor Glenn Anderson spoke with Minnesota Public Radio.
