Median Twin Cities home prices continue to fall

The median Twin Cities home sales price continued to tumble last month to $155,000.

That's down about 9 percent from the same month last year the Minneapolis Area Association of Realtors said Thursday.

The median price of homes that are not in financial trouble fell 12 percent to $190,000.

Meanwhile, the glut of homes for sale is moderating. The number of properties available in the metro area in October was at its lowest point since 2004. The realtor group credits strong buyer activity and fewer new listings.

Signed purchase agreements in October were up roughly 35 percent from the same month last year.
