Minn. employers post fewer job ads in January

Minnesota employers posted about 106,000 online jobs in January — about 2,600 fewer than in December, the Conference Board says.

By contrast, the number of job ads grew nationally in January. But demand for labor in Minnesota is still more favorable than at the national level.

Last month, there were about one and a half unemployed workers for every posted position in Minnesota, compared to three seekers for every online job nationally.
