Capitol News Update with MPR's Tim Pugmire
A new state economic forecast comes out this week, and lawmakers are waiting to see if the numbers remain solid enough to get through the current budget cycle, and the 2012 session, without any needed fixes.
The last forecast back in December showed an unexpected surplus, and some key legislative leaders are expecting that trend to continue. Teacher tenure and tax breaks for businesses are among some of the other issues getting attention this week at the State Capitol.
