After a winter hiatus, members of the Occupy movement are planning to return to downtown Minneapolis.
The demonstrations against economic inequality and perceived Wall Street excess began last September in New York and quickly spread across the country.
Protestors plan to set up camp Saturday in Peavey Plaza near Orchestra Hall and several blocks away in Loring Park.
Ben Egerman with Occupy Minneapolis says protestors plan to defy the Park Board's midnight curfew and set up tents. He says their message remains the same.
"The whole movement, in my opinion, is about people coming together, and learning that when we stand together we can actually change things, and figuring out how to do that," Egerman said.
Last fall, Occupy protestors spent about two months at Government Plaza. In December, authorities seized about 30 tents after demonstrators set up an overnight camp in defiance of a judge's order.
