
Meet Matt Sepic
Matt Sepic is a correspondent for MPR News based in Minneapolis. He focuses much of his reporting on courts and legal affairs. He contributes frequently to NPR's national coverage.
Matt began his career at WOUB in Athens, Ohio, while a student at Ohio University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in journalism with a minor in political science. He continued at public radio stations in Evansville, Indiana, and St. Louis before joining MPR News in 2010.
Matt's work has been recognized with several awards and distinctions including multiple Eric Sevareid Awards from the Midwest Broadcast Journalists Association, a second place National Headliner Award, and an Ethics in Journalism Award from the Society of Professional Journalists.
He enjoys road trips and camping with his family, especially at Minnesota's many wonderful state parks and in the Boundary Waters at low-mosquito season.
