The Minnesota Twins are showing some signs of life. They've won 5 of their last 6 games, including a 5-3 win Sunday against the Indians.
Despite their recent success, the Twins still have the worst record in the American League. Last year, only one major league team finished with a worse record than Minnesota.
Because of last year's dismal performance, the Twins will have the second overall pick in the amateur player draft which begins Monday. This will be the highest that the Twins have picked since 2001 when they had the first overall pick and chose Cretin High School's Joe Mauer.
Morning Edition host Cathy Wurzer talked with Howard Sinker, Digital Sports Editor for StarTribune.com.
