MIA extends hours for Rembrandt exhibition

Due to the popularity of the "Rembrandt in America" exhibition at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, the museum has decided to extend the hours of the show in its final weeks.

From Tuesday, September 4th through September 16th, the exhibition will remain open later on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday until 8 p.m. Thursday the museum will be open until 9 p.m. as usual.
These additional hours affect the Rembrandt exhibition and the gift shop, only. The rest of the museum will respect normal operating hours.
According to the museum, as of July 29 exhibition attendance was at 131% of the forecast, leading staff to conclude "Minnesotans love Rembrandt."
