Thunderstorms were already scouting northwest Minnesota this morning ahead of the major outbreak of strong to severe thunderstorms to come later today and tonight.

NOAA's Storm Prediction Center outlined much of the eastern Dakotas and Minnesota in a risk of large hail and damaging winds.
When the main show erupts later this afternoon some of the thunderstorms will have could produce tornadoes.
NOAA's Storm Prediction risk for tornadoes in the next 24 hours:
Remain alert for changing weather conditions and be prepared to move to safe shelter if severe weather alerts are issued. In some cases, move to safe indoor shelter if you view increasing lightning and hear thunder approaching.
