Two teens were killed and three others injured in a rollover accident in Burnsville along Interstate 35 on Tuesday.
The State Patrol say that the two killed were a 16-year-old boy from Burnsville and a 17-year-old girl from Northfield.
Authorities say they were among five young people in a 1992 Camry driven by another teen, headed south on Buck Hill Road, just west of the freeway. The driver apparently lost control and the car rolled over and down the embankment onto the southbound lanes of I-35.
State Patrol spokesman Eric Roeske said the two teens were ejected from the car as it tumbled down the hill.

Witnesses reported the car was speeding and swerving before the crash. Roeske said there are no indications there were any other vehicles involved or obstacles in the road.
"It really just appears to be, sadly, a case of kids screwing around," he said. "Two of them, at least, not wearing seat belts, and it ended up costing them their lives."
The boy died at the scene. The girl died about five hours later at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis. Two other passengers suffered minor injuries.
It's the second time in a month that a crash has killed multiple youths. Three teenage boys were killed when their SUV rear ended a semi near Hudson, Wisconsin on July 30.
Investigators said there was no immediate indication that alcohol was involved. The crash investigation could take several weeks.
