Republican Kurt Bills is running an ad that alleges DFL Sen. Amy Klobuchar declined to prosecute Tom Petters because he was a campaign contributor. MPR says Klobuchar, the U.S. Attorney who prosecuted the case, the Hennepin County Attorney's office and the trustee for Petter's victims all say the allegations lack credibility.
Amendment to Ban Same-Sex Marriage
The group backing the amendment started running an ad raising the specter of teaching same-sex marriage in schools.
Former GOP state Rep. John Berns says he'll vote no on the amendment.
