The National Weather Service now says there were four rare November tornadoes that swept across the Twin Cities last weekend, rather than the two weak tornadoes that touched down on Saturday night.
There was an indication of a third tornado touch-down in Dakota County, in Mendota Heights, near where the first two tornadoes were reported in Eagan and Burnsville.
A damage survey Wednesday in Mahtomedi and Grant indicated a fourth tornado touched down in Washington County, just east of White Bear Lake.
The fourth twister was ranked as an EF-0 tornado, the weakest on the weather service scale, but an on-the-ground survey found hundreds of downed trees, as well as damaged cars, homes and outbuildings.
The weather service called November tornadoes exceedingly rare and it's only had indication of three others since 1931.
