'National Rob Day' ends with 4 teens charged
Authorities have charged four teenage boys with a Sunday robbery spree the stretched for four hours across south Minneapolis.
The Hennepin County attorney's office says the boys, ranging in age from 13 to 16, have been linked to 10 armed robberies.
Police spotted the four when they responded to the last robbery shortly after 7 p.m. Officers chased them and arrested three after they crashed the stolen car they were in.
Officer recovered some of the stolen property, including cell phones and a computer, and found a BB gun allegedly used to threaten 13 victims, all but one of them women.
The charges say that one of the boys told police it was what they called National Rob Day and asked if they'd broken any records for successive armed robberies.
The oldest of the four charged in the case, a 16-year-old Minneapolis boy, faces 13 counts of aggravated robbery in Hennepin County District Court.
