Target, 'Wired' team up for shopping recommendations

Target is offering customers some shopping guidance for electronics from the editors of "Wired" magazine.

The publication is teaming up with Target to offer recommendations for some electronics the magazine's editors find especially cool. Through July, every Target store will feature the selection of 11 items in a display at the end of an aisle. Additional items winning kudos from the publication's editors will be featured on Target's website

"'Wired' selected the products. The editors selected the products and then they tested them," said Erin Conroy, Target spokeswoman. "Then they curated this assortment that touches these various activities that we find people are doing every day -- from streaming music to photography to fitness."

The selection includes high-performance earbuds and a clip-on camera lens for smart phones. "Wired" will use ads on its website and in its magazine to tout the electronics at Target.
