Authorities in Minneapolis say they're upping the reward for information about a toddler who was shot to death in his home two years ago.
Terrell Mayes was three. He was running up the stairs to escape gunfire outside his north Minneapolis home when a bullet struck him in the head. Police say an extensive investigation into the shooting hasn't resulted in an arrest.
Minneapolis Police Chief Janee Harteau and Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension superintendent Wade Setter say the reward for information that solves the case will be as much as $60,000.
The organizations Spotlight on Crime and Crime Stoppers are pledging the money. Clear Channel Outdoor is also launching a billboard campaign this week to highlight the reward money.
