Chris Kluwe to read from new book of essays at The Loft

Chris Kluwe, the former Viking punter and noted commentator will read from and discuss his new book "Beautifully Unique Sparkleponies: On Myths, Morons, Free Speech, Football, and Assorted Absurdities" on June 30 at The Loft Literary Center in Minneapolis.

The reading, which takes place at 6pm, is scheduled on the heels of the 2013 Twin Cities Pride Festival. Kluwe is recognized for his outspoken support of gay marriage, a rarity among professional football players. Kluwe will sign books after the event.

This is Kluwe's first book; it's being published by Little, Brown and Company. The event is free and open to the public, but the Target Performance Hall at Open Book in Minneapolis is pretty small, so it's likely going to be a madhouse.
