Same-sex couples in the Twin Cities are seeking marriage licenses today for the first time as part of the recently signed state law legalizing gay marriage. While the law won't take effect until Aug. 1, some counties began taking applications this morning.
MPR News reporter Sasha Aslanian has been covering the issue for months. She's standing by this morning at the Ramsey County Public Health Building and reports from the scene for The Daily Circuit.
