Weekend festivals: Agate Days, Pie Extravaganza and Tomato Fest

The 44th annual Moose Lake Agate Days takes place Saturday and Sunday and features rocks and much more.

Moose Lake is sometimes called the agate capital of the world, because of glaciers that came through and formed the rock. With Moose Lake a mecca for gem and mineral experts, the festival has become an international event. Craig Prudhomme, a former science teacher and Agate Day organizer, talks to MPR News' Tom Crann about the event.

ALSO THIS WEEKEND
