With the fall hunting season underway, Eden Prairie police are urging hunters to be mindful of an ongoing missing person investigation.
Mandy Matula was last seen May 1 in Eden Prairie with David Roe, whom she'd once dated. Roe died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound after police contacted him for questioning.
Since then investigators have concentrated their search well outside of Eden Prairie. They say evidence collected so far has led them to focus on a stretch of woods along the Mississippi River from the Sartell Dam north toward a county park near the town of Rice.
Authorities say hunters or anyone else with any information about Matula should contact Eden Prairie police at (952) 949-6200.
