Two men died today in an apparent murder-suicide in Brooklyn Center, police said.
Authorities were called to the 1300 block of 72nd Ave. early this morning, and shots were fired as squads were on the way. Officers found two men dead, and a woman injured by gunfire.
Investigators say a son shot and killed his father, then took his own life. The woman was the suspected shooter's mother and had been previously married to his father, police said.
Police say she suffered a wound to her arm, but was not an intended target. Other people were also in the home at the time, but were uninjured. Police are investigating what prompted the shooting.
