First Avenue takes over St. Paul’s Turf Club

Minneapolis' iconic music venue First Avenue has announced it's taking over the Turf Club in St. Paul.

The purchase takes effect on Oct. 15.

In the announcement, First Avenue General Manager Nate Kranz stated that he recognized the importance of embracing and maintaining what makes the Turf Club a gem.

"While we plan to keep the charm of the club, we will also be investing significantly in improvements to the venue. And don’t worry; we love the Clown Lounge as much as you do - it’s not going anywhere."
