Travelers heading to, through or from Los Angeles may have their flights delayed Friday in the wake of a shooting at Los Angeles International Airport.
Delays are very likely at Los Angeles International and four nearby airports, Delta Air Lines said Friday. The company urged passengers to frequently check the status of their flights into or out of the Los Angeles region.
Passengers whose flights are canceled or significantly delayed are entitled to refunds. The airline is offering no-fee changes to passengers whose travel would take them to airports affected by the shooting.
A suspected gunman was in custody following the incident in which a Transportation Security Administration agent was killed and two people wounded. The attack terrified travelers and disrupted flights nationwide.
