St. Paul police have found the car they suspect was driven in a Sunday morning hit-and-run accident that critically injured two people.
A man and a woman, both 22, were struck on the 1900 block of Grand Avenue about 2:30 a.m. Sunday, police spokesman Paul Paulos said. Both remain in critical condition at Regions Hospital in St. Paul.
The driver fled the scene.
Police put out a description of the car, and about 5 p.m. Sunday received a report of an abandoned car in the 1700 block of Carroll Street.
The grey 2013 Mazda 3 had damage consistent with that of a car involved in such an accident, police said.
Paulos said police are looking for the suspected driver, but would not say if anyone has been identified yet.
