One of the women who attacked former Hennepin County Commissioner and Minneapolis mayoral candidate Mark Andrew on Thursday is due to make a court appearance today.

Andrew was at a Starbucks restaurant in the Mall of America when a man grabbed his iPhone and took off. Andrew gave chase but was attacked from behind by two women who appeared to be accomplices of the thief. Andrew was hit in the head with a metal baton, suffered a concussion and needed nine stitches.

MPR's Cathy Wurzer spoke with Andrew about what happened.
