Almost 10,000 without power in NW suburbs
Xcel Energy says 9,200 customers are without power this morning in Coon Rapids, Osseo, Champlin, Maple Grove and Brooklyn Park. The company says the outage started just after 5:30 a.m. and they're hoping to restore power shortly after 7 a.m. Spokeswoman Patty Nystuen said it wasn't immediately clear what caused the outages.
