NDSU Bison goes for second NCAA win

The North Dakota State University men's basketball team goes for a second win tonight in the NCAA tournament.

The 12th ranked NDSU Bison upset number five Oklahoma on Thursday for their first ever NCAA basketball tournament win.

NDSU takes on San Diego State in Spokane Washington for the second round.

Many NDSU fans will be watching the game in area bars.

Jason Ramstad manages Chubs Pub a few blocks from the NDSU campus. He had a big crowd for the first game and expects a full house for the second game.

If the Bison win they will be one of 16 teams still in the tournament.

"And I think if they get a second win I think it's huge. You get a sweet 16 as a mid major school that's a big thing. The fact that they're just rolling off three straight football championships, I think it's great for the community," he said.

A good showing in the tournament is expected to help NDSU recruit student athletes and raise more money for athletic programs.
