Former President Bill Clinton will be in the Twin Cities next month to pick up an award from the University of Minnesota.
Clinton will be given the Dean's award for Public Leadership from the University of Minnesota's Humphrey School of Public Affairs.
The school says the award is given to those who have "contributed to the common good through leadership and service."
Clinton will accept the award on June 9.
The former president will speak about the civil rights movement and its effect on his political identity. The talk will be part of the school's ongoing series commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
Tickets to the event will be available for purchase Tuesday. The price is $50. Ticket proceeds will go to a student scholarship fund that promotes diversity.
