Ordway and partners name new concert hall… ‘Concert Hall’

As the Ordway renovation continues, the Arts Partnership (which consists of the MN Opera, the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts, the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra and the Schubert Club) today unveiled the name of the new hall which will replace the former McKnight Theatre.

The name? "Concert Hall."

According to a press release, the hall will "will feature a plaque at the entrance honoring John and Ruth Huss, whose leadership and generosity made the construction of the Concert Hall possible." But the hall will not bear their names.

Other areas of the renovated building are named after major donors: the first floor lobby will be the "3M Plaza," public spaces on the second level will be the  "Target Atrium," and the third level will be called the "Securian Sky Lobby," and the "Securian Balcony Lobby."

The Ordway is scheduled to reopen in February 2015.
