The song features former Dire Straits lead singer Mark Knopfler on vocals. The album, which includes a number of guest vocalists, is a collection of songs written by J.J. Cale who died a year ago.

Cale was a big influence on Eric Clapton. He wrote "Cocaine" and "After Midnight" which Clapton covered. Clapton told NPR that Cale's music is minimal with a great deal of substance.

"He summed up so many of the different essences of American music: rock and jazz and folk, blues. He just seemed to have an understanding of it all."
