Gov. Mark Dayton has named his deputy chief of staff Matt Massman as the interim commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Administration.
Massman will replace Spencer Cronk, who’s leaving later this month to take the city coordinator job in Minneapolis.
Massman has been Dayton’s deputy chief of staff for legislative affairs since February. He previously served as Deputy Commissioner for the Minnesota Department of Revenue. Massman also spent six years as chief fiscal analyst for the Minnesota Senate.
Katy Sen will replace Massman as the governor’s deputy chief of staff.
