A weekend smash-and-grab jewelry store robbery in St. Paul is believed to have netted the thieves about $300,000 in merchandise, police said.
St. Paul Police were called to R.F. Moeller Jeweler on Ford Parkway in Highland Park at about 5 p.m. on Saturday, department spokesman Paul Paulos said.
The thieves took about 30 Rolex watches, he said.
Paulos said surveillance video of the robbery showed a number of men took part. At least one held the door while others armed with hammers smashed glass display cases and took the watches.
Police are looking over the video for clues to the robbers' identity.
